Partnering with suppliers who share our values
We partner with suppliers who hire local guides and lead trips to communities that stand to benefit from tourism spend
Hi, I'm Lindsay - a fanatical skier, adventurer and travel writer. I hold a Guinness World Record and an unrelenting passion for adventure travel, especially when it comes to mountain sports and visiting underexplored destinations.
Having spent the past two decades travelling to the most obscure corners of the world, l've noticed that women are less likely than men to visit remote destinations. From a young age, we are told that the world is "unsafe" and to never go anywhere alone. Unfortunately, so many of us carry these messages into adulthood without question, allowing them to limit our experiences. Having travelled to over a hundred countries, l've learned firsthand that the world is more welcoming than we think, that venturing to lesser-known destinations offers rich and rewarding experiences, and that travelling off the beaten path even has benefits to the local communities we visit.
My greatest passion in life is helping other women experience the empowering and transformative power of adventure travel, and in parallel, promoting tourism in less travelled parts of the world where tourism dollars go further to build communities.
At Red Camellia, we develop itineraries for travellers with ambitious and exciting travel goals. We combine our expertise with our vast supplier network to propose the perfect trips for our clients. Whether you want to join guided ski trip through Central Asia, plan a group ski holiday in Japan or attend a women's ski workshop in the Alps, we're connected with the best global suppliers to make your most ambitious travel plans come to life.
With the Internet, it has become easier than ever to find an endless list of travel options, but its also more difficult to find those who can be trusted. That's where we come in.
We believe that tourism can be a powerful agent for change.
That’s why we are committed to:
We partner with suppliers who hire local guides and lead trips to communities that stand to benefit from tourism spend
We donate 50% of proceeds from our planning fees to our partner charity, Plan Canada, a charity that helps girls access their rights so they can learn, lead, decide and thrive
We've partnered with organizations who collect used ski gear for redistribution to economically disadvantaged individuals, avoiding landfill in the process
We provide options to offset the emissions associated with the travel we book
